About The Author
B. Marie is the gifted author of the wonderful, new children's book series, My Friend Ookie. The series' debut storybook, My Friend Ookie Can, is a brilliantly colored depiction of youthful exuberance and the unyielding, affirming power of
friendship.
As a lifelong creative writer, B. Marie began crafting imaginative stories at a very early age, which her loving parents encouraged. She was inspired to write her My Friend Ookie series based on her oldest daughter's vivid imagination.
B. Marie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, a historically black college/university, and a Master of Arts degree in Student Affairs in Higher Education from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
She has almost 20 years of experience in higher education, where she happily mentors the minds of young leaders.
B. Marie is a married mother of three young women; she resides in Little Rock, Arkansas, where she works as a higher education professional.
